She hold a Bachelors degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Monash University with special interest in mental health and social psychology, spirituality, health promotion, and education as well community health.
She hold Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure including extensive 4 years practice in dementia specific unit as lifestyle therapist.
She currently works as a health administrator in a specialist hospital; overseeing surgical bookings and patient management; working closely with doctors, patients, other allied health professionals as well as local health community services.
Through her life and professional experiences, she recognises that while many health professionals have extensive knowledge in diseases and management, they often lack the ability to educate and inform their patients in a language that is easily understood and can facilitate patients to make a positive life-changing decision.
She was diagnosed with Lupus SLE in 2015 and her experience has encouraged her to seek more understanding into this illness and the management, in hoping that she would be able to assist her fellow Lupies to take a more active approach in their own lupus care.
She hopes that this website can be used as a platform to bridge the gap between health professionals and patients, to improve the overall interaction between patients and their doctors in managing their Lupus.
